June 20 -- 7926 adds a new baby girl! Luan Wenbai's second kid was born a week ago, her name is Lucille. Congraduation,

June 22 -- Lian Hui and her husband bought a new house,
she is moving to a new place and very happy.
June 23 -- Xu Shuanglong from China:"Hi Everybody: Steve Shi let me link with 7926 Guys, thank you. I am working in a money broker of Japan in shanghai. I do my financial business. Last year I met Jiang Xiaoming in Beijing, he does his business very well. I hope to contact with you, and let me know your lastest news."
June -- Happy three classmates's birthdays! They were roommates at Fudan from 1979 - 1983.June 14 is Lu Mingjie' birtheday.
June 23 is Guo Hongshen's birtheday.
June 27 is Feng Jun's birtheday.
July 1 -- Happy Qi Qi (Steve) birthday!Happy July - persons' birthdays! Yang Hongjun's birthday is July 4.
Wu Yizhong's birthday is July 25.
July 4 -- Jiang Zelin's family and Gu Jianshe's
family had a BBQ party in Seattle.Most families lived in United States had a holiday, BBQ and enjoyed small fireworks.

July 20 -- Steve Shi found a new job (Internet Testing) at Silicon Valley.
He transfered from Sony Electronics to ISN. July 25 -- Wang Guanghua (Frank) and his family are going to China(Shanghai & Bei Jing) for vacation. July 31 -- Gu Xiaolu is going to China for his business trip.

Currently I am in charge of web-site editing for my department (http://www.fas.nus.edu.sg/ecs/) and the Chinese Economists Society (USA) (http://china-ces.org/).
I want to make the CES web site interactive with the visitors so that a publication database can be maintained and updated by the members. I would like to know whether the following would be feasible technically:
1. For a member-visitor, she can access to an entry form in which she can fill in her name and publication details.
2. The information she enters will automatically be saved into a database.
3. The visitors who want to find publications in a particular research area or by an author should be able to search the database by entering in some keywords.
Your views about the know-how, software and costs are very welcome and eagerly sought."
Aug. 7 -- Li Shuo Chuan (Jesse) for 7926 Reunion:It is getting close to the exciting day when we will meet together after eighteen years!
1.When you are planning to buy airplane tickets, You can get better price if you reserve 21 days earlier.
2. Currently major airlines are cutting their airfare 25% until August 13, 1999.
3. You can check out the website -- www.priceline.com to search reasonable airfare.
4. Please review Lian, Hui's e-mail on June 14,1999 which laid out all details of our reunion agenda. Then you can plan the date when you are arrival. (Many people will be there on 9/10, some will be on 9/11).
5. According to Lian's agenda, we all will meet at the main entrance of Bally's hotel lobby at 2:00pm of 9/11/99 (Saturday). If you can not find the place or anything happens, please call my cellular phone #510-612-1853.
6. Please inform me if you would like Gu to help reserve Bally hotel room. Please specify how many people and how many nights. (Now Gu is in Shanghai and will be back to USA on 8/18/99).

Aug. 18 -- Shi Zhangchu:In June, our www.fudan7926.com opened. Every time, I have to use a special software -- "WS-FTP" to upload files or I can't maintain this site. So I decided to buy this software, paid $37.95. Today Gu Jian She transfered $37.95 from 7926 Website-Fund(every classmate's donation) to me. Thanks for everyone & James.

Aug. 29 -- Today, Fudan Alumnus of North California(FDAANC) had a big picnic party
at Levin Park in Milpitas, Ca. Over 100 Fudanese families joined,
we met together(Wen Bai, Jesse and Steve), had lots of funs. Jesse Li was lucky
to get the first prize(lottery) -- valued $300. Aug. 29 -- Steve got Liu Xialian's call from Boston. She helloed to everyone who would go to
Las Vegas Reunion. Xia Lian can't go there, she is very busy, is taking Master Degree classes for Nurse. Her son will go

Confirming Hotel reservation:I have confirmed with most of you on the phone for your fly itinerary and published as the following. If you find it is not correct, please let me know. If you find some arrival and depature times within the same schedule, we can meet in the airport and leave together and share the same cab. Also considering some girls arrival in the midnight, we will make sure to pick them up.
