Mt. St. Helens
Mt. St. Helens --- the famous volcano, extremely magnificent
scene after it erupted 1980 and 1982.
When sky is clear, the snow covered peak is visible near my home.
This picture of the mountain was taken before last Xmas,
about 5 miles from the lava dome.
My family has been there at least 5+ times.
The peak is allowed to be climbed from the back (south) with permit purchased
-- only about 30 permits each day within certain period during a year.
South area of the mountain is resort area during summer.
We camped there last summer, boating, swimming, hiking, camp fire.... wow !
